Working with Box4 in Africa was a unique and gratifying experience. As a health practitioner I have a new know-how in Tropical medicine and I was able to put knowledge with into action with the resilience the job environment requires.
I have worked as a nurse at BOX4 in 2014 and 2015 for 2 months periods in some provinces of Angola. At first I was a little bit apprehensive because I didn't know the company and it was a very big change for me moving to another country. Soon my doubts and concerns disappeared. Box4 has always supported me, they took care of my visa, my flights and my stay in Angola. As a nurse I had to provide workplace medical and nursing care. It was a very enriching experience especially the cases related to tropical diseases. I recommend this experience to all nurses who are willing to leave their comfort zone, get to know a new culture and deepen their knowledge in tropical medicine. I am sure they will love it and will certainly return a different person.
